Part of the Global Church

We value our connection to the worldwide body of Christ. In particular we participate in the life and work of the wider Mennonite denomination.

MENNONITE WORLD CONFERENCE (MWC)

Mennonites are a global people and we cherish the relationships we have with vibrant congregations in many parts of the world. One of the places where we connect in with the world wide church is through the Mennonite World Conference (MWC). MWC is a communion of Anabaptist-related churches linked to one another in a worldwide community of faith for fellowship, worship, service, and witness.

MENNONITE CENTRAL COMMITTEE (MCC)

Mennonite Central Committee is the relief and development arm of the North American Mennonite Church. MCC seeks to demonstrate God’s love throughout the world by working among people suffering from poverty, conflict, oppression and natural disaster. MCC strives for peace, justice and the dignity of all people by sharing our experiences, resources and faith in Jesus Christ.

MENNONITE CHURCH EASTERN CANADA (MCEC)

Valleyview connects to the wider Mennonite denomination through area conferences. MCEC is a conference that brings together Mennonite churches from across Ontario, Quebec and the Maritimes.

MENNONITE CHURCH CANADA

MCEC joins with other area conferences as part of a larger Canadian denomination, Mennonite Church Canada, to make up over 220 congregations amid 5 area conferences. Mennonite Church Canada's members represent a cross-section of Canadians from all parts of the globe and the indigenous people of Canada. In addition to English and German, 45 Canadian congregations worship in 14 additional languages.

COMMUNITY PEACEMAKER TEAMS (CPT)

As part of our commitment to Peace and Justice, a number of Valleyview members participate in Community Peacemaker Teams. CPT is a broad multi-faith network that supports spiritually-centered peacemaking, creative public witness, nonviolent direct action, and protection of human rights.

AGAPE FELLOWSHIP

Agape Fellowship is a small congregation that meets at Valleyview for worship and fellowship on Sundays in the late afternoon. Many of the participants experience lower income or disability related social isolation. Through Agape, they have created an important place of community and support.

JESUS FIRST ASSEMBLY

Jesus First Assembly is a Nepali-speaking congregation that meets at Valleyview for worship and fellowship on Sunday afternoons.
