There is no service or livestream at the Valleyview church building today.


Rain or Shine! Please join us today for a full day local retreat in beautiful Fanshawe Conservation Area. (1424 Clarke Road)

 

Free Entry:

Do not pay at the entrance gate. Inform the gate attendant you are visiting as a member of Valleyview Mennonite Church. A discounted charity rate of $12 per vehicle park access fee will be covered by the church.

 

We will meet at the Watson Porter Pavilion. Follow the signs - cross over the dam, past the Pioneer Village, and park in the lot (grassy area) to the left of the road under the tall evergreen trees. The gate entrance to the Watson Porter Pavilion will be on the right. Please leave the area immediately in front of the pavilion for accessible parking only.

 

What to Bring: 

  • Lawn Chairs / Blankets 
  • Weather Appropriate Clothing, Sunscreen & Bug Spray
  • Picnic Potluck food to share (Peanut Free, Sesame Free)
  • Your own Dishes, Cutlery, Water Bottles or Drink Cups
    • Water Refill Station is provided 
  • Your own serving dish and utensil for your potluck contribution. (No extras provided at the pavilion)
    • Label your dish with your name.
  • Outdoor Activities: frisbees, balls, bocce, lawn games
  • Please consider bringing indoor board games or crokinole

 

Volunteers Request 10:00am setup: If you can arrive a bit early and help setup tables and chairs, please let Heather know in the Church Office!

Worship Preview

April June 2026

 

Continuing on with the worship series prior to Lent, our April worship services will focus on the Sermon of the Mount. For four Sundays in May & June, we will hear about unity in conflict. Various Biblical texts will be used to show how important it is to address conflicts and then find a healthy way to deal with them. June will include our annual Fanshawe service followed by a potluck picnic and afternoon activities, and a Sunday to honour our indigenous neighbours and friends.

Notice is hereby given that a Congregational Vote will be held on Sunday June 21, 2026 to elect/affirm a new member to the Pastoral Care Team.

 

Nominee Name: Gloria Janzen

Role: Pastoral Care Team Member

 

Time of Vote: 10:00 AM within the worship service.

Vote Method: Paper Ballot.

Ballots will be distributed upon entry to the worship service starting at 9:45AM to members only.

Completed Ballots will be collected during offering collection.

 

The nominee was selected by the Pastoral Care Team through discernment and is being presented for congregational discernment and approval.

 

Paper copies of the proxy form can be requested from the church office.

 

Questions may be directed to Gary Good, chair of the Pastoral Care Team, or a member of the Board of Directors.
