Worship Preview

Lent to Easter 2026

For the Sundays during Lent through Easter, our worship services will focus on Dwelling in Dissonance using the resources provided in the Leader magazine. This year our Lenten Bible readings will be from the gospel of John. Unlike the other gospels, these scripture readings will explore the Holy Week story throughout all of our Lenten worship services. We will be invited to experience and linger in this final week of Jesus life and not rush into the time of Easter. This will be a time to dwell in the dissonance of knowing & not knowing, of seeing how things are instead of how we want them to be.

Holy Week at Valleyview

April 3 @ 10 am - Good Friday

The shame of the cross.

Focussing on the readings from Luke chapters 22 & 23, we will reflect on the shame Jesus endured, and the shame experienced by people within our community. The service will include communion and then will end in silence and darkness.

Easter Breakfast April 5 from 8:30-9:30am downstairs

Please bring finger foods to share (muffins, Paska or other baked goods, cheese & crackers, fruit).

No peanuts or sesame due to allergies.

April 5 @ 10am - Easter Sunday

Death & Resurrection

Returning to the sanctuary as it was on Good Friday, we enter in quiet and darkness while waiting for the announcement of the empty tomb with Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!

Easter Flowers

We invite you to bring tulips* and daffodils* to decorate the cross and the sanctuary on Easter Sunday.

*Due to many scent allergies, please ensure floral arrangements do not include any other flowers.
