Worship Preview
Fall Worship
Series: Women in the Bible
This fall our worship services will include some Sundays with a special
focus. On the other weeks, we will have a series about Women in the Bible,
based on the book Prone to Wander, by Joanna Harader. These five Sundays
will focus on some of the often-overlooked women in scripture. We will reflect on these women s wilderness
journeys with their doubts and their questions, being reminded that God does
not leave us alone to wander in the wilderness.
Lynne Williams is preparing some of the worship resources for this
series.

In and Around Valleyview
Intergenerational Faith Exploration Group this Fall:
This is an invitation for you to consider joining an intergenerational
faith exploration group scheduled for this Fall. What I mean by
Intergenerational is that Valleyview youth, young adults and older adults are
invited to discuss important matters of faith together with the hope that we
can learn much from each other. And, I say important in the sense that we
want to discuss what is important to you.
The plan will be for us to meet for 6 sessions on Zoom for one-hour
(7-8pm), beginning Thursday, September 11. (Sept. 11/18/25, Oct. 2/9/16).
The focus of our study:
- A (very) quick survey
of the Bible focusing on the story of salvation history how God
continues to reach out to all people and invites us to trust and follow.
We will spend a more focused time reflecting on the Sermon on the Mount
(Matthew 5-7).
- As part of the
Biblical study, we will look at how our understanding of Scripture has
been shaped from within an Anabaptist perspective.
More important than anything will be the questions each participant
brings to the group. I really look forward to this time of sharing and learning
from Scriptures and from each other.
Please let me know if you would like to participate.
