Saturday May 10

Intergenerational Gathering at Valleyview

Join us this Saturday for one or all of the planned activities as we gather all ages together for a fun afternoon and evening of fellowship.

 

Activities:

3:30pm   Hike through Kilally Woods

        One hour hike led by Mike F, along the north shore of the Thames River

        We will meet by the Dan Pulham Field (815 Windermere Rd) at the far east end of Windemere Road - off Adelaide - and begin our hike from this point.

5:00pm   Dinner at the church: Wiener roast and Ice Cream Sundaes

        free-will offering will be collected to help cover the cost of the meal. 

        Gluten free and vegetarian options will be available. 

        Please bring your own plates and cups/water bottles.

        Help Needed! As people arrive downstairs, please help setup chairs at the tables. Also seeking few hands to help with clean-up after the meal - let Brenda F know.

7:00pm 8:00pm: Online Bible Study (Zoom)

Our final Bible Study of the season will be this Thursday May 15th at 7pm. The passage of Scripture we will be reflecting on together will be Colossians 3:1-11.

I will send out a Zoom link. We meet from 7-8pm and all are welcome to join.

9:00am Seniors Group Gathering: MCC Meat Cannery Tour in New Hamburg

Seniors, if attending please RSVP to Carol D: kaecee@isp.ca

On Wednesday, May 21 the seniors are planning an excursion to New Hamburg for a tour of the M.C.C. meat cannery at 41 Heritage Drive. The tour begins at 10:30 and will last about an hour.
We will meet at Valleyview at 9:00 a.m. to organize car-pooling and head to New Hamburg.  Please let me know if you plan to go and if you are available for car-pooling either as a driver or as a passenger.
Lunch is at the Imperial Restaurant, a fully wheelchair accessible restaurant.  Some people have also expressed an interest if possibly exploring the M.C.C. thrift store.

Saturday, May 31

7:30pm - Valleyview Male Chorus 29th Annual Spring Concert

Location: First Baptist Church, 568 Richmond Street in London.  The program will consist of a range of songs sung by male voices including songs of faith, spirituals, meditative numbers, folk songs and contemporary music, all with the goal of inspiring hope, faith and joy in the listener.  All are welcome to this Annual event. Tickets $20 at the door.

Join us for Valleyview's annual worship service at Fanshawe Park Conservation Area (1424 Clarke Road, north of Huron St.)

        1:00pm:    Family Activity & Games

Hidden Acres is hosting our 58th Annual Chicken BBQ & 17th Annual Pie Auction Fundraiser on Tuesday, June 10 from 5 - 7 pm.  

Come and enjoy our delicious chicken dinner that thousands of people have come to know and love. Along with the chicken, your meal includes potato salad, coleslaw, veggies, pickles, a fresh roll, chips and an apple or fresh baked apple fritter.

$21 - 1 Piece Meal  /  $25 - 2 Piece Meal

Scent-Free Zone: Severe Scent Allergy

Valleyview is a scent-free zone as many participants have strong reactions to scented products. Please refrain from using all scented products: cologne, perfume, hairspray, hand and body lotion.

No Peanuts: Allergy Alert

Some members in attendance experience serious peanut allergy. Please refrain from bringing, eating, or serving any food labelled as containing peanuts or with warning May contain peanuts .
